Nikon D810

The new Nikon D810 was just announced. Its predecessor the D800 was an excellent camera. I am not sure that you can convince D800 owners to upgrade to get better image quality. The image quality of the D800 was almost too good and many D800 users found they did not really need the full 36mp resolution and the resulting large files. It looks like the biggest upgrade to this camera is “broadcast quality video” I am sure this is an awesome camera, but I am a bit disappointed to see that it did not get 4K video. For the landscape photographer, the D810 would be a great alternative to a medium format camera.

Happy Shooting!
