Hasselblad 1/4"-20 Plate 2144

The review about this plate needing to screws is unfounded since the plate has a lip that prevents it from rotating; so there’s no need for more than one screw. I like that the plate is low profile. It’s also manufactured to very high quality standards both in its machining and in the finishing process. The only issue I have with this plate is that it does not work well with a RRS non-adjustable lever clamp. This is not a criticism of Acratech, they can’t make plates for all clamps, but more a heads up for people considering this plate while using a RRS ball head. One solution is to switch to the adjustable lever clamp. Overall, this is a great plate that fits a standard hasselblad mount from many of their 500, 903/905, 200, and H series cameras, and the machined-in anti-rotation fit is a great feature. I have not found another plate made to fit the hasselblad cameras as well as this one. If it worked with my RRS lever clamp this would be the perfect plate for me! As usual the product is well machined and strong. The issues are that there should be two screw holes, one for the large screw shown, the other for the small screw and they should be spaced so they fit into the two holes in the Hasselblad's proprietary foot. As a nice to have, two small screws in the to keep the arca swiss mount that help keep the camera/lens from slipping off if the arca Swiss clamp becomes loose would be nice. First item is more important than the second.

It is the perfect plate. Fits the Hassy 500 series snugly - slips on, tightens up and keeps your Hasselblad secure.
